What is MSC Status Office and MSC Status Building?
Before renting or buying any MSC status office/building, it’s important that you understand definition of MSC status office/ building so that you are in compliance with the requirements set by the MSC status approving authorities.
MSC status office/ building is categorized into 2 types:
1. MSC designated premises
To enjoy all the MSC status benefits/ incentives granted by the Malaysian Government, a MSC status company must have its office in a MSC designated premises. These buildings are built or designed according to stringent requirements to ensure world-class infrastructure and the application of cutting-edge technologies are the salient features of such buildings. Examples of MSC designated premises are Plaza Sentral in KL Sentral, The Intermark tower, The Gardens office tower in the Mid Valley City, G Tower in Kuala Lumpur City Centre area, etc.
2. Non-MSC designated premises
These offices are not MSC designated premises but are categorized as MSC status office based on their location within MSC Cybercity/ Cybercenter. The MSC status companies housed within such MSC status offices are still entitled to all the benefits and incentives offered to MSC status companies except the world-class physical and information infrastructures. Examples of MSC status office are The Vertical Business Suites in Bangsar South City, Q Sentral in KL Sentral, Northpoint offices in the Mid Valley City, etc.
